Moms Strussel

This is from my mom. I like to make this a lot and change the filling for my mood. It makes a lot but totally worth it.

1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Beat well. Add vanilla and almond extract. Stir in flour and add salt and baking powder. Spread 1/2 batter in greased cookie sheet (large one). Cover with 1 large can pie filling.(I like cherry or raspberry). Drop remaining batter on top in random spots. Bake at 350 for 45 min.

Frosting:

3/4 stick butter
1 Tbl. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. salt
Add enough powdered sugar to make a glaze.
Add milk to thin

Drizzle over cooled bars.

Yum, I can taste them already!!
